Dr Norwood studied Medicine at Guy’s Hospital, London. She pursued a laboratory research career in London and Cambridge before deciding to return to clinical medicine to study neurology, became fascinated by the range and mechanisms of neurological conditions and has combined clinical neurology with an in-depth background knowledge of laboratory techniques ever since.
She completed her general medical training at a variety of London teaching hospitals, her specialist neurology training at Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton and has been in London and the South East as a consultant since 2005.
She was Clinical Lead for Neurology at King’s between 2007 and 2012 and now concentrates on improving the Muscle and Myasthenia service at both NHS sites.
She also holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer post at King’s College London and is engaged in several clinical research projects and collaborations.
